2023 Swiss Dressage Championships

Pony rider Mia Sanna Walser, junior rider Sabrina Rietiker, young rider Robynne Graf and senior Grand Prix rider Charlotte Lenherr were crowned the new champions in their respective divisions at the 2023 Swiss Dressage Championships held in Dielsdorf on 6 - 8 October 2023.

There were no national championships held in the Children or Under 25 division. The youth riders competed over three rounds, the seniors only has to do two, the Grand Prix and freestyle.

Lenherr Returns as Grand Prix Champion

Swiss team rider Charlotte "Tiggy" Lenherr reclaimed the national elite Grand Prix champion's title for the second time in her career, after winning it the first time in 2021. Aboard the 13-year old Oldenburg bred Sir Stanley W (by Stedinger x Florencio) the pair won the Grand Prix with 71.960% and was second in the freestyle with 76.225% to finish first overall.

The silver medal went to former Under 25 rider who made her senior team debut this year, Charlotta Rogerson aboard the 13-year old Dutch warmblood mare Famora (by Zack x Krack C). The duo stayed right on Lenherr's heels in the Grand Prix with a second place on 71.000% and bestede her in the freestyle with 76.650% but landed second place with a 0.535 percentage point difference. The bronze went to 2020 Swiss Grand Prix champion Estelle Wettstein with the 13-year old Oldenburg Quaterbay (by Quaterback x Rubinstern Noir). She posted 70.640% for a third place in the Grand Prix and was fourth in the freestyle with 74.825%. Her overall total ranked her third.

"Wow, what a weekend," a thrilled Lenherr took to Instagram. "We are overjoyed and, above all, grateful! A big thank you to everyone who makes it possible to experience such beautiful competition and celebrate our successes with us! But also thanks to Sir Stanley, who always gives his all."
