Sofia Rosenkilde has renewed her national pony champion's title for the second consecutive year at the 2024 Danish Pony Championships hosted at the Hovgaard riding club on 16 - 18 August 2024.

The Hovgaard Rideklub has now hosted the Danish Pony Nationals for the eighth time in a row.

Title defender Sofia Rosenkilde saddled her Danish team pony Cosmo Royale (by Cosmopolitan D x Casino Royale K) and had to deliver a hard fought battle with Victoria Bang Zindorff to regain gold. Rosenkilde and her 10-year old stallion won the first round with 74.282 points but were second in the Kur with 75.50%. Her overall total of 149.782 points put her first.

The silver went to Victoria Bang Zindorff on the 10-year old Del Classico (by D-Day x Classic Dancer) who posted 73.179% in the first round and topped the board in the Kur with 76.00%. Her total of 149.179 points was only a fraction less for silver. Bang Zindorff also this year's Danish Junior Champion as she rides ponies alongside horses as the daughter of Danish A-squad rider and horse dealer Lone Bang.

The bronze went to third Danish team rider Filippa Jaeger Jensen aboard the 13-year old stallion Crown Charm of Royal (by Casino Royale K x Monte Christo) who had a total of 146.708 points after scoring 72.308% and 74.40%. Filippa is trained by her mother, Danish 2018 WEG team rider Betina Jaeger.

In Denmark also an FEI pony championships for smaller ponies is held, called category 2. The title went to Amalie Juliane Danvad Fredbøg aboard Spirit Kick (by Clausholm Donatello x Attention) after scoring 71.641% and 75.20%. The silver was for Agnes Ørnskov Beier on Tomms My Fritz (by Grenzehohes My Fireball x Orchard d'Avranhes) and bronze was for Anna Dora Munch on Giotto (by HET Golden Dream x Valiant Starlight).
