British team pony Steendieks Cadillac has been sold to the Czech Republic, where he will serve as a schoolmaster for a new pony rider.

Steendieks Cadillac is a 13-year old German Riding pony by FS Chambertin out of Conny (by Nurejew x Charmeur). He is bred by Peter Böge.

Licensed Stallion

The chesnut was licensed as a breeding stallion in 2014 at the Holsteiner Pony Stallion Licensing, but he did not do a performance test.

Instead he was focused on sport, but there is no competition record of his time in Germany.

Lily Laughton

Cadillac sold to the UK as a 5-year old as Lily Laughton's FEI hopeful.

The pair made its national show debut in January 2017 in Cherwell and competed up the levels until reaching FEI pony level in 2018.

Their international show debut was in 2019 at the CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland and from there they went to Compiegne and Hagen.

Sofia Games

In the summer of 2019 Cadillac sold to the Games family for daughter Sofia, whose international pony career began in 2020 on Mister Snowman.

Games premiered Cadillac nationally in October 2019 but a long show break followed after January 2020. They returned to national showing in Hartpury in June 2021. The pair's CDI debut was in October 2021 at Keysoe.

In 2022 Games focused more on her second pony Next Black Magic, while competing Cadillac nationally. They did one CDI in Keysoe in October 2022.   In 2023 Games secured the ride on a third pony, WS Jackson, who became her first choice and with whom she was selected on the British team for the 2023 European Pony Championships. Jackson was swapped last minute for Cadillac due to a minor injury. Sofia and Cadillac were fifth with the team and individually placed 37th (66.757%).

In her last year on ponies in 2024 the duo competed in Le Mans, Lier, Addington, Compiegne, Hickstead and Wellington Heckfield before being nominated on the British team at the 2024 European Pony Championships in Opglabbeek (BEL). The British team was fourth and individually they were 25th with 68.892%.

Klara Hubackova

Games has now sold Cadillac to Czech Klara Hubackova.

Cadillac gets a pat
"Caddy is my absolute pride and joy. He tried his hardest for me every day and he never let me down. He was my first pony and we have grown up together over the last 5 years. I wouldn’t rather have had any other best friend by my side. He held my hand and led me to achieve my dreams, for that I owe him everything," said Sofia.

She continued, "Never did little 10 year old me ever think for a moment that we would go on the adventures that we have shared. I never imagined that our last ride together would be dancing down the centre line of our second European Championships. We’ve created memories that will be treasured for a lifetime, and for that I am so grateful."

Klara Hubackova is the younger sister of Czech children rider Alice Hubackova. Mom Barbora Hubackova works as an HR specialist for Czech law firm Rowan Legal and owner of the Olomouc Equine Sport Center.
