The stallions Segreto and Pharaoh DG became the high scoring stallions in the 2024 North American Stallion Sport Tests. Pharaoh DG was the high score champion after both tests.

The East coast testing  at Hilltop Farm in Colora, Maryland on 4 - 6 October 2024, followed by the West Coast testing was on 8 - 10 October at Pollyrich Farm in Solvang, California

The judges panel this year included Matthias Granzow and Floor Droge with Josef Freese serving as "dressage expert." The test rider was Inga Hamilton (east coast) and Jessica Wisdom (west coast) for the dressage horses. They were the same riders as in 2023 but swapped locations this year. Maren Schlender was in attendance as a representative for the German Equestrian Federation.

The American Hanoverian Society. (AHS), the Hanoverian Verband (HV) and the German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) supervise this NA Stallion Sport test, open to 4, 5, 6, and **7-year old stallions from the AHS, GOV, and other registries. The testing, run by the North American Stallion Sport Test LLC, provides North American stallion owners with an opportunity for their stallions to earn lifetime breeding approval according to the regulations of their specific registries. For most registries, the stallions need to complete this testing twice to finish their sport requirements for a lifetime license.

This year the turn-out for the test was particularly low with only four stallions in California and three in Maryland.

West Coast: Pharaoh DG

In sunny California, four dressage bred stallions participated in the testing, of which two were bred and born in the U.S.A.

The high scorer of the testing was the KWPN-NA bred Pharaoh DG (by Koning DG x Parcival), who is bred by DG Bar Ranch and presented by Willy Arts. The chestnut won the U.S. young horse championships for 4-year olds in August and now topped the board at the testing with a total of 8.70 points. He got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, rideability and overall impression.

The runner-up was the Danish warmblood bred Serupgaards Cezanne (by Torveslettens Sylvester x Romanov x Idocus) who won the testing in 2023. This time he scored a total of 8.6 points with 8.5 for walk and trot, 9 for canter, and 8.5 for rideability and general impression.

East Coast: Segreto

Just three stallions participated in the east coast testing of which one was U.S. bred.

The high scorer at Hilltop was the 6-year old Hanoverian Segreto (by Secret x Stedinger), bred in Germany by Matthias Löcke. He scored a total of 7.60 points with 8 for walk, trot, canter and 7 for rideability and general impression. Segreto is owned by Betsy Tyler and trained by Beny Konstantinova. Segreto was a premium stallion at the 2020 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden, where he sold for 190,000 euro to the USA.

The runner-up was the Oldenburg bred Joop (by Jovian x Follow Me), who finished on 7.50 points. He got 7.5 across the board for walk, trot, canter, rideability and general impression.
