German Olympian Helen Langehanenberg has taken over the ride on Warendorf State stud's most popular dressage breeding stallion, Diamantenglanz.

He is a 5-year old Oldenburg by Diamond First out of Miss Coeur (by Bon Coeur x For Complimen), bred by Wieghaus-Vorwerk.

Warendorf's Most Popular

Diamantenglanz was licensed at the 2021 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing and stands at the Warendorf state stud.

In 2022 he did the suitability test under Henrike Sommer. In April 2023 he scored 8.61 points in the stallion sport test and was the second best scoring horse in the lot.

He did his first competition in his career in June 2023 under Manuel Springhetti. In August 2023 Warendorf reported that Diamantenglanz was successfully operated on for colic. In 2023 he was the most used breeding stallion amongst Westfalian breeders.  In April 2024 he started his second sport test on home turf in Munster, but dropped out.

After a year break from competition the stallion returned in June 2024 at a show in Coesfeld and won. He was entered for the German team selection trial for the World Young Horse Championships, but did not go to the second round. He did one further show in Munster on 20 June and was third in the L-level test. He qualified for the Bundeschampionate but did not compete there.

Today Helen Langehanenberg announced she has taken over the training of Diamantenglanz.

"We are only just getting to know him, but I can already say that he has truly outstanding riding qualities and enormous talent," said Helen. "His three super gaits are also beyond reproach and he is simply a treasure in the stable. I am very happy that he is now “Zoomi's” stablemate.”

Helen also trains Warendorf's stallion Zoom, whom she has been produced to Grand Prix level.

"We are happy that this exceptional stallion has gone into the caring hands of one of the best dressage riders in the world,” said NRW Stud Manager Dr. Felix Austermann.
