Ibiza’s Highlight was named the Trakehner Mare of the Year 2024 at this year's Trakehner stallion licensing in Neumunster on 29 November 2024.

Thirteen 3-year old mares contested for the title and six of them were invited to the champion's ring.

Ibiza’s Highlight (by Millennium out of Ibiza (by Montafon)) was named the champion. She is bred and owned by Tim Vester and was already the winner of the regional inspection in Rhineland with the highest score of the year.

"This magnificent black mare leaves nothing to be desired: In addition to the correct conformation and the Trakehner noble horse's expression, she has spectacular movement mechanics with an always confident appearance," the inspection committee noted.

The Danish-bred Basilika (by Preussen Party out of Butterfly (by Summertime)) was named the reserve champion. She is bred and owned by Tonny Nörgaard Bang and was the regional inspection winner in Schleswig-Holstein. Later that day she became the price highlight of the sport horse auction, selling for 70,000 euro.

The third ranked mare was Koh-I-Noor (by Helium out of Kreta II (by Ivernell)), who is the full sister to the 2023 Trakehner Licensing champion Kap Verde. She is bred by Konsortium Rheinfels, Essen and is owned by Gestüt Staffelde.
