A chestnut colt by Debutant PS x Totilas was named champion of the 2024 Mecklenburg Stallion Licensing in Redefin on 7 December 2024.

A collection of approximately 50 dressage bred stallions was presented for licensing. The majority was approved and no less than 11 named premium. In Mecklenburg the stallions are sold via an online auction after the licensing.

The chestnut colt by Debutant PS out of Top Pearl (by Totilas), bred and owned by Paul Schockemöhle was named champion. For years in a row, it has always been a Schockemöhle stallion that is named champion at this licensing. A bunch of the recently auctions Schokemöhle stallions were presented and licensed in Mecklenburg, including the auction best seller Grey Tonic who was named premium. He was not offered for sale in the online auction that followed the licensing and for which the bidding concluded on 10 December.

The reserve champion is ZZ Top (by Zoom out of Fraulein Nymphenburg by Fürst Nymphenburg). He is bred by Günther Röhrich and owned by Gefion Teichert. He became the price highlight of the auction and sold for 68,000 euro to a German bidder.

The second most expensive stallion in the auction was the premium colt by Santos x Belissimo M which sold to the U.S.A. for 46,500 euro. The best jumper of the lot, a black colt by Foncetti vd Heffinck, went for 41,000 euro.

The most expensive non-licensed dressage stallion was a black Total Hope x Secret, which sold to Australia for 16,500 euro. The very lenient licensing in Mecklenburg did not translate in highly wanted stallions. Most licensed colts sold for less than 20,000 euro (or were bought back by the owners).
