Five dressage colts were approved during the third phase of the 2025 Belgian Warmblood (BWP) Stallion Licensing at equestrian center Azelhof in Lier on 6 - 9 March 2025.

The licensing committee approved 27 jumper colts and five dressage bred stallions.

The dressage committee includes inspectors Inge Meurrens, Tom Heylen, Dirk Borghijes, and Jean Pierre De Waele. The 3-year old stallions were presented in hand, the 4-year olds also appeared under saddle.

For the first time the 4-year old colts were included in the consideration for the champion's title.

Eddy Schuurman, chair of the dressage studbook committee, stated "we see that owners are increasingly choosing not to offer their dressage stallion at the stallion approvals until the age of 4. We think this is the future and therefore we also want to give them the opportunity to compete for the champion title.”

The 4-year old Virtuoso van het Bloemenhof (by So Perfect x Apache) was named champion.
