Swedish Under 25 dressage rider Linnea Holmgren has been nominated for the title of "Comet of the Year 2025" to be awarded at the Swedish Riders Gala in Stockholm in November.
Nine Swedish riders in the three Olympic disciplines were nominated for the first round. A public vote of 7,000 people brought the amount down to three, who are in the final running for the title.
The final three are Amanda Andersson (eventing), Josefin Torell (show jumping) and Linnea Holmgren (dressage).
The 24-year old Holmgren won gold at the 2025 Nordic Baltic Championships in the Under 25 division on QC Sir Dennis and finished 13th on Buskhaga Sitara in the 7-year old final at the 2025 World Young Horse Championships in Verden. She was 7th at the 2025 Swedish Under 25 Championships. She rode four horses at the Swedish young horse championships this year. In 2022 Linnea was recipient of the Ajax Stipend.
A second voting round to determine the winner runs until 26 October.
