The Swedish equestrian federation has released the names of the riders who have been nominated for an award at the 2025 Swedish Riders Gala in Stockholm on 26 November 2025.
Nine awards will be presented with the most important categories being Performance of the Year, Horse of the Year, Groom of the Year, and Comet of the Year.
The jury consists of representatives from different fields in equestrian sport: Annika Ersgård, sports director and chairman of the jury, Elisabet Lundholm, Lisa Hoff, Niklas Jonsson, Tobias Mattsson and Wivecka Schenholm.
Dressage riders nominated for any of the awards are
Performance of the Year
- Louise Etzner Jakobsson - gold at the 2025 European Para Championships
- Dressage Team - third in the 2025 CDIO Aachen Nations Cup (Darcourt, Vilhelmson, von Essen, Kittel)
They are up against the jumping team that won the CSIO Nations Cup in Falsterbo
Horse of the Year
- Invoice (Maria von Essen)
Invoice is up against Fredrik Persson's 4-in hand team, and vaulter Elversoes Galantic.
Comet of the Year
She's up against Josefin Torell (jumping) and Amanda Andersson (eventing)
No dressage grooms were nominated for Groom of the Year.
