Mochyndaear Dragonfly in Amber Sold to South Korea

The internationally competed FEI pony Mochyndaear Dragonfly in Amber has been sold to South Korea.

Mochyndaear Dragonfly in Amber is an 8-year old Dutch crossbred KWPN x Welsh B pony by Grand Prix stallion Double Dutch out of Kenwoods Princess Milly (by Kenwoods Tomahawk x Kenwoods Steven). He is bred by dressage judge Mascha Reijs.

Young Pony Success

The chestnut stallion sold to Thamar Zweistra and Leunus van Lieren during the 2022 NRPS licensing held at Van Lieren's own stable.

Van Liere ndropped the breeder's name and replaced it with his own, Hexagon's Dragonfly in Amber. Under Sophie van Iwaarden, the stallion won the 2022 Dutch Young Pony Championships in the 4-year old division.

In 2023 he was the high scorer of the 2023 NRPS Stallion Performance testing where he got 8 for walk, 9.5 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 10 for rideability, 9.5 for self carriage, and 9.5 for dressage potential.

Helena Theeuwes

The chestnut sold to Belgian FEI pony rider Helena Theeuwes in September 2023 and they re-instated his original name.

Helena and Dragonfly made their show debut at the end of October 2023 at the CDN Grote Brogel. Their international debut came at the CDI Aachen Festival 4 Dressage in March 2024. From there they went to Compiegne. Helena got selected on the Belgian team with her number one pony, Matteo.

A year break from CDI showing followed for Dragonfly. He came back at the 2025 CDIO Compiegne and competed in Lier, Hagen, Troisdorf and Kronenberg this year.

South Korea

With Theeuwes having reached the age limit, Dragonfly has been sold to South Korea. His new home will be Changwhan Bae's Balios Equestrian Club in Hwaseong, South Korea.
