Avici ECH was named champion of the dressage lot at the 2026 Belgian Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Lier, Belgium, on 6 - 8 March 2025.
A collection of 10 dressage bred Belgian warmblood and foreign registered stallions was presented. Seven in total were accepted of which three are BWP registered and four KWPN bred.
The licensing has three phases: the first phase is a vet exam of the stallions at the equine clinic in Merelbeke, the second phase is an assessment of the conformation and movement in freedom. The third phase consists of a presentation under saddle of the 3- (and some 4-) year old colts. The colts are ridden by the own rider as well as a test rider.
The title of dressage champion went to the black Avici ECH (by Millennium x Secret), who is bred by Rudi Hendrikx and was presented under saddle by his daughter, Belgian Grand Prix rider Suraya Hendrikx.
"Our first home-bred did it," Suraya beamed. "I'm so proud of our pretty boy. He behaved really great already on the first day of the third phase."
Seven were accepted in total.
