The German association for professional dressage riders has announced that it will be changing the format for the annual championships as of 2026.
This year there will be three qualifiers towards the championship. The top three ranked riders of each qualifier will be invited to the finals.
The qualifying competitions are the Regional Championships held in Haftenkamp (14 - 17 May 2026), Marbach and Neu-Ansbach. The test ridden there is at medium tour level.
The actual German Professional Dressage Riders Championships, which is ridden at Grand Prix level, will be held at the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. A preliminary test (short Grand Prix) will be held on Friday. The top three of that class will ride the final with horse change on Sunday.
