Danish pony team trainer Lisbet Seierskilde and team captain Lars Svarre Krogsgaard have updated the Danish pony A-squad and created a B-squad which they consider a "perspective" group.
The Danish pony A-squad was updated on 29 March 2022 and four new riders have been submitted, following the national show and ecco cup qualifier in Sundeved.
In addition, a "perspective group" (of B-squad) has been created for those pony riders, which have achieved their national A-qualification and which can now benefit from the same knowledge and info as the A-squad. Riders in the perspective group will come together at a team training seminar twice a year.
"With the high level of pony dressage that we are currently seeing, we have wanted to do something extra to develop the many talents," Seierskilde told Ridehesten. "The hope is that the perspective group will contribute to a general increase in knowledge for these young riders and thus equip themselves well professionally for the future."
The updated Danish pony A-squad, from which the teams for the Championships are picked, includes the following riders:
