A change has taken place in the German team for the World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo (NED) on 4 -8 September 2024.
The 5-year old pair, Maxi Kira von Platen on Andreas Helgstrand's Westfalian breeding stallion Elastic (by Escolar x Dimaggio), has been withdrawn. The stallion is not fit to compete.
Maxi Kira will not lose the opportunity to compete in Ermelo though as she is also the first reserve with the Oldenburg gelding Erdbär FE (by Erdinger x Fidertanz x Sir Donnerhall).
The bay is bred by Carl Louis Ferdinand and was licensed at the 2021 Oldenburg stallion licensing, where he sold to Helgstrand Dressage for 170,000 euro at auction. He never did a performance test. He made his show debut as a gelding in Germany in May 2024 in Okel and in June he was shown by Leonie Richter in Bargstedt. He is listed as owned by Martha Raupach.
