Portuguese Grand Prix rider Daniel Pinto has been signed as the new Brazilian team trainer and chef d'equipe leading up to the 2028 Olympic Games.
Dressprod first reported the news.
Leading to L.A.
Pinto will have to assist Brazilian riders towards the 2026 World Championships in Aachen, 2026 Odesur Championships in Argentina, the 2027 Pan American Games and ultimately the 2028 L.A. Olympics.
The board of the Brazilian Equestrian Federation (CBH) with judge Claudia Mesquita as Dressage Director have decided on this. In the past Norbert van Laak has served as team captain for Brazil while retired judge Mariette Withages was their technical advisor in the 2010s. In the 2000s Eric Lette was team trainer.
Pinto signed the contract in March when he conducted his first training seminar in the country.
