Bundeschampion Neverland WE, New Ride for Lotta Plaas

European Children Championship silver medallist Lotta Plaas has taken over the ride on the 2022 Bundeschampion Neverland WE.

Neverland WE is a 6-year old Weser Ems bred pony stallion by FS Numero Uno out of Sophia (by Champus K x Dressman). He is bred by Reinhard Kramer.

Licensed Stallion

The dark bay Neverland was first licensed at the 2018 Oldenburg Pony Stallion Licensing in Vechta followed by an approved for the Westfalian society in Munster-Handorf a year later.

The stallion fulfilled his HLP obligations via sport in 2020 by competing at the Bundeschampionate.

Bundeschampionate

Under owner Danica Duen, the pony stallion was first competed in 2019 and earned bronze at the Bundeschampionate.

In 2020 the stallion was retired from the 4-year old riding pony stallion final at the Bundeschampionate.

In 2021 Danica's daughter Sophie Duen took over the ride and scored the bronze medal in Warendorf, while in 2022 they finally captured the coveted gold medal. but in 2019 he was third.

Lotta Plaas

The Plaas family is closely connected to the Duen family as their 14-year old Lotta has been riding pony stallion Cosmopolitan at national level in Germany. They now also secured the ride on this second stallion but both will stay based with Duen.

Lotta began her international show career in the children division aboard Balsamico (by Blue Hors Hertug x Anduc). At the 2021 European Children Championship they won team gold and at the 2022 Europeans they collected team gold and individual silver.

As Lotta turns 15 in 2023 she will no longer be eligible to ride in the Children division and has to move on to either ponies or into the junior division. Sophie Duen has also reached the age limit and needs to move into the junior category as of 2023.

The new pony pair made its show debut last weekend at the CDN Ankum, where they were first and second in the FEI pony tests.
