Follow Me OLD Sold, Ride Allocated to German Junior Rider

The 12-year old Oldenburg licensed stallion Follow Me OLD has been sold to a new family and moved to Gestut Nordvorpommern, where he will continue as the ride for a new junior rider.

Follow Me is by Furstenball and out of elite mare Cariana (by Donnerschwee x Alabaster ). He is bred by Jurgen Fetzer.

Licensing Champion and Auction Price Highlight

Susanne Limbecker presented the stallion at the 2012 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing where he was named champion and sold for 400,000 euro to the Swiss Wespe family of Dressage Performance Center Lodbergen in Germany.

He did his 30-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in the autumn of 2013 and scored 9.29 for dressage and 7.35 for show jumping, finishing on a total of 8.32 points.

As a breeding stallion he sired licensed sons Follow Him's Schönweide, Bundeschampion Finest Selection OLD, and Freiherr von Nymphenburg as his best known offspring.

Competition Career

He was first competed by Lodbergen's head rider Therese Nilshagen in 2014 and won the Oldenburg Young Horse Championships in Rastede. She showed him through 2015. He was 7th in the 2014 Bundeschampionate. In 2015 he scored 8.4 in the Hille qualifier and that was his last show for almost three years.

In 2018 he returned to the show ring with Patrik Kraft began showing the stallion and took him to small tour level. His last show was in Vechta in August 2021.

Sold to Poland

In September 2021 the stallion sold to the German based Polish Pawluk family as a junior rider's horse for daughter Caroline.

She first showed him at a local show in Willich, followed by a start in Ankum in October 2021 before heading to the CDI Brno in June 2022, where the pair placed in the top five in the team test with 68.990%. It was their last show together.

Move to Gestut Nordvorpommern

The Pawluk family has now sold the stallion to the the Bienk-Kurp owners' group.

The Kurp family manages Gestüt Nordvorpommern, a breeding and training center. Their 16-year old daughter Antonia Kurp will initially take over the ride on Follow Me.

Kurp made her international show debut at her first and only CDI so far, the 2019 CDIO-CH Hagen, where she rode Davinio (by Dauphin) in the children division.
