For the 13th time the Hanoverian breed society honoured outstanding young stallions with the best performance test results with the Weltmeyer Prize.

Two dressage sired - Escaneno and Global Hope - became the recepient of the prize and were honoured in a ceremony in front of a large audience at the 33rd "Privately Owned Stallion Show" in Verden.

Escaneno (by Escamillo x Veneno - Breeder and station: Tobias Schult) has been successfully standing at stud for two years and is highly popular with breeders.  Under Jacob Schenk he became the 2024 Hanoverian reserve young horse champion in the 5-year-old division and at the 2024 Bundeschampionate he finished 16th with 7.98. Prior to that, he impressed in both parts of his sport test, receiving top scores, particularly for his rideability. His exceptional quality is no coincidence: Escaneno’s grand dam is the renowned St.Pr.St. Reine Freude (by Ravallo x Frühlingstraum) from the prestigious dam line of Jucking.

The second recipient of the prize is Global Hope, a 2020-born Global Player x  Fidertanz son (breeder: ZG Werth, Moers; station: Klosterhof Medingen). He was presented in Verden by Jacob Schenk. In 2023, Global Hope was celebrated as both the Hanoverian young horse champion and Bundeschampion of 3-year-old riding horses. That year in Warendorf, he received the perfect score 10 for rideability and trot. At the 2024 Bundeschampionate he was 6th in the 4-year old stallion final.  Global Hope follows in the hoof prints of his half-brother Vogue (by Vitalis), who also secured both championship titles and is now based in the yard of Olympic Champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.
