The internationally competed Danish FEI pony Bossa Nova Bitsch has been retained for Denmark as she sold to a new Danish pony rider

Bossa Nova Bitsch is a 14-year old Danish Riding Pony by Power and Paint out of Bitsch De Luxe (by FS Champion de Luxe). She is bred by Hans Valdemar Slyngborg and Henriette Bitsch.

Junker and Hansen

The palomino mare has been a heart horse for two Danish kids who both aged out of the pony division.

She was first competed in 2017 by Nadja Junker Larsen and the pair moved up to FEI pony level. They showed through 2020. They placed 6th in the 2020 Danish Pony Championships.

In the winter of 2020-2021 the mare sold to the Hansen family for Emilie Hansen to ride. She made her national show debut in May 2021 and her international show debut was a year later in April 2022 in Kristiansand. That year she went on to show in Aalborg and at the 2022 Nordic Baltic Championships in Flyinge, where they won team gold. They placed 8th at the 2022 Danish Pony Championships.

In 2023 the pair travelled to Le Mans and Hagen for two CDI's and were short-listed for Danish team selection for the 2023 European Pony Championships. They finished fifth at the 2023 Danish Pony Championships. In 2024 they did Lier, Aachen Festival 4 Dressage and Aalborg. The pair finished 6th at the 2024 Danish Pony Championships.

Schoolmaster

Bossa Nova Bitsch has sold to a new rider, Maya Leisted Grønbech.

"I'm looking forward to following them," said Emilie Hansen about the sale of her pony. "I'm going to miss wonderful Bossa, but I know she'll have a great time."

Hansen will continue on horses with 9-year old DWB mare Sensation Unik (by Don Juan de Hus x Temptation) and 7-year old DWB bred Ejerbækgaards Balmont (by Baron x Romanov).

Grønbech is an experienced international pony career who debuted in 2022 with Moglie (by Mandingo x Merlin) and as of 2023 has been actively competing Giotto N (by Golden Gate N x Highway N) at CDI's in Sint-Truiden, Aalborg, Hagen and Drammen. She rode on the Danish team at the 2023 and 2024 Nordic Baltic Championships.
