U.S. Olympian Sabine Schut-Kery has added the Danish warmblood Ducati de Lux to her line-up of L.A. Olympic hopefuls. She secured the 9-year old through German horse scout Jochen Arl.
Ducati de Lux is by Hesselhøj Donkey Boy out of Lillevangs Pari-Diva (by Blue Hors Zack x Fanal Prydsholm x Loran). He is bred by Christian Nygaard Hansen and Nikolaj Hansen.
Danish Beginning
Ducati de Luxe is bred out of an exquisite dam line with his dam being the 2014 Danish Warmblood Mare of the Year. Ducati was her first foal after winning that prestigious title.
The young colt was presented at the pre-selection of the 2019 Danish Warmblood stallion licensing but not picked, so a career in sport became his path in life. Owned by stallion keeper Ib Kirk at the time, the colt was sold to dressage horse developers Vivi and Christian Vang Lauridsen, who have been collaborating with German horse dealer Jochen Arl for numerous years.
Ducati de Lux was slowly produced up the levels and lightly competed in Denmark. In the autumn of 2024 Michala Damm Frydenberg rode him to three top three places incluyding a winning 71.053% in the Prix St Georgses
U.S. Bound
Ducati de Lux was sourced in Denmark and has been acquired by Robert Bray and Tracey Kenney-Bray's Emerald Equestrian Partners, LLC for Sabine to produce to Grand Prix level.
"Ducati de Lux is a great addition to Sabine's already strong group of horses at FEI level," Arl told Eurodressage. "He has left Europe and will get a wonderful life in California. I can't wait to see her bring him along."
