German junior rider Martha Raupach has handed over the ride on her medal winning German Children's team horse Jack Sparrow to a new rider.

Jack Sparrow is a 12-year old KWPN gelding by Expression out of Florenca (by Vivaldi x Negro). He is bred by Herman Veurink.

From Holland to Denmark

Originally named E-Jack Sparrow, the chestnut is a half brother to the licensed stallions Kaiser Weltino (by Dante Weltino) and Pitch Perfect (by Le Formidable).

He was presented at the 2017 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch but not accepted. Helgstrand bought him in a private deal there and the Oldenburg society licensed him on the spot.

Jack Sparrow moved to Denmark where he was licensed with the Danish warmblood society. He did his 14-day performance test  in March 2017. He has one son registered for sport in Germany: the KWPN bred Kasjmir, owned by Australian Pamela Barton.

Jack Sparrow was only twice competed in Denmark by Frederikke Lundgren Skelmose, in January and February 2020 at LA-level, placing third twice.

Martha Raupach

In the autumn of 2020 he sold to the German Raupach family for daughter Martha. He had been gelded to be focused on sport.

At the 2021 European Children Championships
Martha debuted him at L-level at the CDN Vechta in January 2021 and placed second at the 2021 Preis der Besten. Her international show debut followed in June that year in the Children's division at the CDIO-PJYR Hagen Future Champions. She was nominated on the German team for the 2021 European Children Championships in Oliva Nova, where Germany won team gold. As fourth German team rider she did not move to the individual test.

They stayed at Children's level in 2022 and competed at the CDI's in Troisdorf and Hagen. They won the Preis der Besten in May and  headed to the 2022 European Children Championships in Pilisjaszfalu, where there was more team gold as well as individual gold.

In 2023 she moved him up to junior level and rode one international at the CDI Grote Brogel in July 2023, the horse's last CDI. Raupach showed him through May 2024 nationally, finishing 19th in the Preis der Besten. This was the horse's last competition so far.

New Rider

Jack Sparrow has now been matched with German pony and children rider Hannah Pohlmann.

In 2025 Hannah competed the Welsh B pony A.W.I Macron in the dressage rider WB tests and Jumping seat classes for beginners.
