The internationally competed FEI dressage pony Colourfull <sp> Cannonball has left his latest rider and owner in Germany and sold to Denmark. He will continue under Caroline Martha Mortensen.

Colourfull Cannonball is an 11-year old Westfalian bred pony by Can Dance out of Nadona (by Nabucco R x Domingo x Shalom). He is bred by Mareike Teeken.

Dutch and Austrian Team Pony

The palomino made is international show debut under Dutch Robin Heiden in the spring of 2018 and a year later were selected on the Dutch team for the 2019 European Pony Championships in Strzegom, Poland, where the pair won team silver and placed sixth in the Kur. At the 2019 Dutch Pony Championships the pair was fourth.

In the autumn of 2019 the gelding sold to the Austrian Jöbstl family as a new ride for Florentina Jöbstl.

They made their international show debut at the 2020 CDI Mariakalnok and represented Austria at two consecutive European Pony Championships. In 2020 they were 15th in the Kur to Music finals and in 2021 they were 7th in the Freestyle finals.  At the 2021 Austrian Pony Championships the pair won silver.

Sold to Germany

In the autumn of 2021 Colourfull Cannonball sold to German pony rider Leni Wächter.

She made her national show debut in November 2021 at a local show in Marl and went on to actively compete the pony at national level throughout 2022. They have not done any CDI's. It was Leni's other pony, Ballack vM, who played first fiddle and was her choice for the important German team qualifier such as the Preis der Besten.

The Wächter family recently purchased 2022 Bundeschampion Melli's Glückskeks and sold Colourfull Cannonball to Denmark.

Denmark

The gelding will now continue his sport career under 13-year old Caroline Martha Mortensen.

Trained by Grand Prix rider Anne Troensegaard, Mortensen has already been gaining experience on the well known FEI pony Morgensterns Dakar. This palomino pony is a former Danish team pony under Thilde Trude Hare before selling to Sweden as a ride for Elin Ullman. Dakar did his last international at the 2021 European Pony Championships and then sold back to Denmark.
