Premium Stallion
The black stallion became a premium stallion at the 2021 KWPN Stallion Licensing in Ermelo. He was owned by Peter Van de Sande and F. van der Vegt at that time
Nirvano was a colt out of the first crop of Van de Sande's stallion For Ferrero. Out of just 29 colts born in 2018, three of them became licensed stallions.
He scored 81.5 points at the 2021-2021 KWPN Winter Stallion performance testing, placing 8th of 9 performing stallions. He was also approved for the NRPS studbook at a home licensing.
Sport
Nirvano has only been very lightly competed.
In 2022 he finished 36th in the Pavo Cup Semi-Finals under Maxime van der Vlist.
This year he was entered for the first Dutch team selection trial for the 2023 World Young Horse Championships in Nunspeet. Under Kim Koolen, he was accepted for the second trial, but did not move onto the third one.
Germany
The stallion has now been sold to Thomas Ritzinger, who owns an equestrian centre in Niederaichbach near Bergsdorf, Germany. It is the home of his daughter, German young rider Sophia Ritzinger.
Australian Olympian Simone Pearce left Gestut Bonhomme to relocate to Bavaria in the spring of 2023 and work for Ritzinger.
The family is currently investing in new horse stock for Simone and Sophia to ride.
