The selection committee of the Swiss Equestrian Federation recommended Nicole Geiger to Swiss Paralympic as individual rider for para-dressage at the 2024 Paralympics.

They will take place in Paris from August 28th to September 8th.

Switzerland is eligible to send one rider to the Paralympics and that will be Nicole Geiger on Donar Weltino (Owner: Genicla GmbH, Romuald Kaiser and Patricia Schärli / Groom: Natalie Mayoraz).

For Nicole Geiger, these are the third Paralympics after Rio de Janeiro (BRA) 2016 and Tokyo (JPN) 2021. She is an experienced championship rider who has participated in numerous continental championships, including the 2022 World Championships in Herning (DEN).

Horse and rider will be looked after on site by veterinarian and team leader Fabian Gieling. For him, the Paris 2024 Paralympics are an excellent opportunity for Nicole Geiger to gain experience with the still young Donar Weltino.

"The aim is to show a beautiful, harmonious program," said Gieling. "We are aware that the pair still has further potential for improvement and are pleased with the positive development of the two in recent months. This lays the foundations for the future."
