The KWPN bred Franklin and the Westfalian bred Revolution have been proclaimed "elite" stallions by the Danish Warmblood Society.

Stallion owners were able to propose their stallions for elite consideration before 1 October 2021. The Danish warmblood society reviewed the applications to verify if they met the requirements for elite status appointment.

This year the Danish warmblood society applies new rules for elite status consideration: 30 offspring have to be registered with DWB; a minimum of 50% of the assessed offspring has been selected for stallion selection; at least five offspring need to have achieved significant results in the Danish or World Young Horse Championships; and the stallion needs to have a dressage index of minimum 120 points. Dispensation can be given in special cases.

Two dressage bred stallions will be proclaimed elite this year: the 11-year old Franklin (by Ampere x Ferro) and the 8-year old Revolution (by Rocky Lee x Rouletto).

Franklin is owned by an investors' group, Revolution is owned by Soren Gronberg, Hanni Kasprzak and Andreas Helgstrand.

"They have both done extremely well at shows, and the many great results that the offspring have achieved at foal and mare shows, stallion licensing etc. speak for itself," said Andreas Helgstrand who stands both at stud. "This is the first time that our stallions achieved this, and therefore it is something very special."
