Gestut Bonhomme has been reducing its horse stock since the departure of Simone Pearce as head rider. The Werder based yard has sold the dressage stallions DeLorean and Maracana to Australia.

David Shoobridge acquired both.

DeLorean

DeLorean is a 12-year old Hanoverian stallion by Dancier out of Weltina (by Weltmeyer x Airport).

He became a premium stallion at the licensing in 2013 Hanoverian stallion licensing in Verden and approved for all major German studbooks. He did his 30-day performance test in the autumn of 2014 and scored 9.15 for dressage and 7.65 for show jumping, finishing with a total of 8.60 points. He achieved his full licensed status in 2016 by scoring 8.4 at the Bundeschampionate qualifier on home turf in Werder.

The stallion had no significant sport career. He was shown only a handful of times, once by Falk Rosenbauer in 2016 and then Lena Waldmann rode him at M level in a home show in 2016.

As a breeding stallion De Lorean has sired 4 licensed sons (Daim, Delray, Don Horatio, DeLaurentis) and 5 state premium daughter. Sixty-four of his offspring are registered for sport with the German equestrian federation.

Maracanà

Maracana is an 8-year old Westfalian stallion by Millennium out of Lorime P (by Lord Loxley x Lancer II).

Bred by Heike and Werner Pleines, Maracana was bought by Gestut Sprehe as a foal named Martindale at the 2015 Westfalian Spring Elite Foal auction for 26,000 euro.  He was first licensed at the 2017 Westfalian Stallion Licensing and later on approved for Oldenburg and Hanover. Sprehe sold the stallion at auction to Bonhomme for 700,000 euro.

He did his 14-day suitability test in Adelheidsdorf in April 2018 and scored 8.34 for dressage and 5.75 for show jumping, finishing on a total of 7.38. He scored 8,62 at his first sport test in 2019 as the high scorer, but the second sport test in Munster-Handorf in 2020 didn't go so well. The horse was excused from the arena for his resisting behaviour.  Bonhomme at the time communicated that the horse was not ready for the mandatory test and that the vet exam they did indicated nothing except maybe a small blockage in his spine. Six months later the stallion fulfilled the licensing criteria by scoring 8.10 in the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Verden

Lena Waldmann competed Maracana from 2019 until May 2021 from A to M-level at national shows in Germany. Despite qualifying for the Bundeschampionate, the stallion did not show in Warendorf.

Reduction Sale

The beating heart of Bonhomme, owner and head manager Rebecca Gutman, passed away untimely in May 2022.

After the departure of Simone Pearce in the late spring of 2023, Bonhomme's current managers, Saskia and Robert Conredel, have been reducing the horse stock there and selling some of the top horses in the barn.  Also Grand Prix stallion Fiderdance is rumoured to have been sold, but Saskia Conredel told Eurodressage that, "he is in our barn and we also still own him."
