Revolution, the 2018 World Young Horse Champion, has been sold as a 2024 Paris Olympic hopeful for Portuguese Grand Prix rider Roberto Brasil.

Revolution is a 10-year old Westfalian stallion by Rocky Lee out of Rochelle (by Rouletto x Wendenburg). He is bred by Yasemin Yanik in Germany.

Million Euro Stallion

Revolution first came into the spotlight at the 2015 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, where he was named premium stallion and sold for the record hammer price of 1.2 million euro at auction. Helgstrand Dressage was revealed to be the buyer but later on Hanni Toosbuy Kasprzak and Søren Grønborg were named as co-investors.

In March 2016 he was approved at the 2016 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing and was the high scorer at the performance test. The million euro auction price did the publicity trick and made the interest in this stallion peak with breeders. Revolution became one of Europe's most sought after sires, especially at the start of his breeding career.

In 2021 Danish warmblood proclaimed him an Elite sire. So far he sired 14 licensed sons, including Raven, Rockabye S, and Rom. In Germany 13 of his daughters have been named state premium mares. From his first two crops of foals came Valerie B (2021 Danish Warmblood Mare of the Year and 2022 Danish Young horse Champion), US owned Grand Prix hopeful Rosebank VH, and Swedish Young Horse Champion Buskhaga Ramayana.

World Young Horse Champion

Trained and competed at Grand Prix level
Under Andreas Helgstrand, Revolution won the Danish Young Horse Championships in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

At the 2018 World Young Horse Championships he won gold as a five-year old and silver in 2019 as a six-year old. In 2020 the WCYH were cancelled due to covid.

In the summer of 2020 Andreas first competed Revolution at Prix St Georges level in two national shows. A three-year break from competition followed for Revolution. Helgstrand focused on stallion Jovian as his number on Grand Prix horse for sport. In February 2023, Revolution made his come back to the arena at a home show at Helgstrand Dressage in Vodskov, where he won the Grand Prix with 75.90%. Three months later in May, he was second at the CDN Svenstrup with 71.667%.

Revolution has now sold as an Olympic hopeful for Roberto Brasil. Helgstrand posted today that he has been acquired by the MFI Group.

"Congratulations to the MFI Group and Roberto Brasil on this exciting partnership," said Andreas. "We're looking forward to seeing what the future holds - We're confident that it's going to be a bright one."

The 36-year old Brasil recently began a new chapter in his career. After having worked in the U.S.A from 2014 til 2019 and ridden for Brazilian Lusitano stud farm Vila de Sagres until 2023, the young professional took the leap to independence in September 2023.

Brasil relocated to the brand new facility Equiminho in Barcelos, Portugal, where he started his own dressage training business together with young rider Tiago Andre Ferreira.
