European Children Reserve Champion Ava Osing Debuts New Horse

Ava Osing, the 2024 European Children Reserve Champion, has debuted a new horse in competition. At a local show near Hamburg she competed the 7-year old Bundeschampionate finalist Ferdades.

Ferdades is an Oldenburg gelding by Frascino out of Elaiza (by Escolar x Diamond Hit). He is bred by Christine Campe

Henriette Hachmeister

The tall bay gelding was competed by Ingo Pape's stallion station team rider Henriette Hachmeister in 2020 as a 3-year old.

She showed him lightly as a youngster and ride him more intensively in 2022 as a 5-year old, qualifying for the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, where they were 11th in the 5-year old dressage horse finals/

The horse sold to Saskia Bauer a year ago and was once shown by Sonja Ellerbrock in February 2023 at L-level. In September 2024 Friederike von Essen showed him in Sieversdorf at L-level.

Ferdades was intended for the now 14-year old Ava Osing who has been gaining show experience since 2021, initially on pony Baumann's Despino (by Don't Worry x Rosedale Tiberius) and in the Children class on Hirtnglanz (by All Inclusive x Lord Luciano). With the latter she made her international show debut at the 2022 CDI-CH Hagen after placing third in the Preis der Besten.

As of 2023 Osing has been campaigning Darjeeling (by Don Darius x Royal Blend) internationally at Children level with starts in Hagen and Lier. This year she placed fourth at the Preis der Besten and was nominated on the German team. She won team and individual silver at the 2024 European Children Championships in Opglabbeek (BEL).

Ferdades

Osing, who trains with Kristy Oatley, debuted Ferdades at the local show in Ahrensfelde on 13 October 2024 and straight away collected the trophy in the M-level dressage test.
