Paul Schockemöhle and Andreas Helgstrand have sold their triple WCYH silver medal winning stallion Vitalos.

Vitalos is an 8-year old Hanoverian stallion by Vitalis out of Darlina (by De Niro). He is bred by Josef Bramlage.

Licensed Stallion

Bramlage sold Vitalos as a foal for 51,000 euro in the 2017 PS Online Foal Auction in which he was named Vuitton.  Paul Schockemöhle purchased the colt in his own auction and later sold a share to Helgstrand.

Vitalos was first licensed for Oldenburg through a special "home" licensing before being approved for Hanoverian breeding.

In 2021 he did a 35-day stallion performance test in Denmark where he scored 869 points. He obtained his full licensed status with his sport results.

Ridehesten reported that Danish Warmblood has 18 of his offspring registered.

Triple WCYH Silver

The stallion was competed by Leonie Richter from the start, winning the 2021 Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in Verden followed by the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.

The stallion went on to win triple silver at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo. In 2022 he got silver as a 5-year old and recaptured the silver as a 6-year old in 2023.

The year 2024 was a very busy one for Vitalos. Alongside his breeding duties, he competed in Okel, then qualified for the Nurnberger burgpokal final in Balve in June with a  75,951%, then headed to the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where he clinched his third consecutive silver medal with 83.222%. There was no extended show break as the horse competed in Oldenburg in October before heading to the Nurnberger Final in Frankfurt in December, where he placed third as well as won the "sieger preis."

Sold

The stallion has now been sold to Hamburg based dressage horse owner Saskia Bauer.  The ride on the stallion has been given to her daughter Ava Osing, the 2024 European Children Reserve Champion.

Ava's competition career began in 2021 on pony Baumann's Despino (by Don't Worry x Rosedale Tiberius). She also showed in the Children division on Hirtenglanz (by All Inclusive x Lord Luciano) with whom she made her CDI debut at the 2022 CDI-CH Hagen.  Aboard Darjeeling (by Don Darius x Royal Blend)  she placed fourth at the 2024 Preis der Besten and won team and individual silver at the 2024 European Children Championships in Opglabbeek (BEL). Ava debuted Bundeschampionate finalist Ferdades (by Frascino x Escolar) in October 2024 at a local show in Ahrenfelde.

”We are totally in love with Vitalos, and I am very grateful to my parents and grandmother for the opportunity to ride such an exceptional horse,” said Osing who trains with Kristy Oatley. “He is simply a dream. Currently, we just want to get to know each other!”
