The KWPN licensed stallion Nashville Star has been sold to Swiss investors and the ride has been given to Australian Olympian Simone Pearce.
Nashville Star is a 6-year old Dutch warmblood by Desperados out of Ezraijgje (by Westpoint x Montecristo). He is bred by L. Martens. He was originally named Nashville LMD.

The black was discovered as a foal at the 2018 Borculo Foal Auction, where he sold for 56,000 euro to Dutch entrepreneur and investor Jan Pieter Dalsem, who is represented by horse dealer Eugene Reesink.
He was licensed at the 2021 KWPN Stallion Licensing and became the high scorer of the 2021-2022 KWPN Winter Stallion Performance Testing, where he scored 87.5 points with 9.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, canter, suppleness, and self-carriage, 9 for rideability and 8.5 for dressage potential.
The black stallion first made his mark in sport under Dinja van Liere, finishing fourth in the 2023 KWPN stallion competition finals. In the spring he was participating in the Dutch team selection trials for the World Young Horse Championships, but was pulled out of the third selection trial. In August of 2023 they were 18th in the Pavo Cup Finals.
Sold to Switzerland
Nashville Star has been sold to Team Fuchs in Switzerland. Show jumping rider Martin Fuchs and business partner Ilan Ferder secured the horse for Simone Pearce to ride.
The black has got a stall in Pearce's stable right next to Destano (also by Deperados), who is spending his retirement with her.
"We are so excited for the future with him," said Simone. "It’s always a pleasure finding top quality horses from Reesink."
When asked if she spots similarities with his half brother Destano, Simone told Eurodressage that, "he's not really similar to Destano as far as I’ve seen, only the massive walk is the same, but he’s incredibly similar to Desperados himself I think."
Key Largo
Team Fuchs also purchased the 9-year old KWPN bred Key Largo from Reesink.
He is by Toto Jr out of Terrorieta (by Ferro x Caritas) and bred by M. Burgers. He was originally named Kingsman.
He was licensed at the 2018 KWPN Stallion Licensing and renamed Key Largo, but did not show up for the 2018 KWPN Spring Stallion performance test.
He finished 8th in the 2018 VSN Trophy Finals. With Dinja van Liere he competed in the 2019 subli cup shows and was selected to represent the Dutch team at the 2020 World Young Horse Championships, but the event got cancelled due to the corona pandemic.
