The Danish bred Daan G became the stand out colt, crowd favourite, and record setter at the 2024 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden on 23 November 2024.

Of the 77 colts invited to the licensing, 76 came to Verden and 38 of them were licensed. Ten were named premium

Daan G Stands Out

Of the ten premium stallions there was only one that was the real talk of the town and that was the Danish bred Hanoverian chestnut Daan G (by Donkey Boss x Don Olymbrio L).  Bred by Helene Geervliet at Stutteri G in Denmark, the colt was owned by the breeder in partnership with the handler, Hans Jorgen and Anders Hoeck of Hesselhoj stud.  The chestnut had the crowds roaring and the licensing committee was equally thrilled by him.

“A horse that gives you goosebumps,” said the licensing committee, headed by breeding director Ulrich Hahne.

At the auction following the licensing, Daan G set a new record price as the table of Ulf Möller, Esben Möller and Lukas Fischer had the highest bid of 2 million euro. The colt seemingly sold to Helgstrand Dressage in partnership with Paul Schockemöhle.
