Ferati, Lucie-Anouk Baumgurtel's team silver medal winning ride at the 2023 European Young Riders Championships, has been sold into Asian ownership. 

Ferati is a 10-year old Hanoverian gelding by Furst Belissaro out of Dinett (by Del Piero x Bolero x Wendekreis). He is bred by Peter Mahler.

Fernando Parrado

He was originally named Fernando Parrado after the famous survivor of the Andes plane crash in 1972.

Carla Röhr first competed the horse in 2018 in the riding horse test. In 2019 Anna-Lena Sejben took over the ride and in 2020 it was Anne Koch's turn. She took him to L-level, qualified for the 2020 Bundeschampionate, where he finished 9th

The Baumgurtel family purchased the 5-year old Ferati in the autumn of 2020. 

Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel began competing Ferati in 2021 at M-level and entered for the German team selection trial for the World Young Horse Championships. She gradually produced him up the levels and did a first S-level test in September 2022.

The pair's highlight year was 2023 when they finished third in the Preis der Besten and the horse did its first CDI in Hagen in June finish fifth and get selected for Team Germany at the 2023 European Young Riders Championships in Pilisjaszfalu. There they won team silver and placed 12th individually. Ferati was one of the youngest horses competing at the Europeans.

In 2024 the pair showed in two CDI's: in Le Mans in February and in Kronenberg in November with scores between 65 and 71% They also competed at a handful of national shows that year.

Junior Hopeful

Ferati has been sold to the Li family from Hong Kong. Daughter Kendra Li rides and trains in Germany with Carina Scholz. 

Kendra  first competed El Amore van de Kempenhoeve (by San Amour x Florencio) under the Maltese flag but now rides for Hong Kong. She finished 17th at the 2023 European Children Championships in Kronberg. She made her debut at junior level with El Amore at Mariakalnok in August 2024 and premiered Isterberg V (by Instertanz V x Belissimo M) at the 2024 CDI Troisdorf.

The Li family has five horses in Germany with Scholz: El Amore, Isterberg, Filou K, Ferati and the recently acquired Dream Date.
