Blue Hors stud continues to sell its entire horse stock due the approaching closure of the facility on 1 April 2024. The latest horse to be sold out of the Danish barn is Blue Hors Kingston. He sold to an international Danish pony team rider.

Blue Hors Kingston is an 8-year old KWPN stallion by Toto Jr out of Arina (by Turbo Magic x Flemmingh). He is bred by Jan Zeewuster.

Licensed Stallion

The black Kingston JZ was the favourite of the crowds at the 2018 KWPN Stallion Licensing. He was presented there by horse dealer Ad Valk and German business partner Vasco Janke (best known as the owner of Ibiza).

He did the 2018 KWPN Autumn stallion performance test in Ermelo and scored 85.5 points. He earned 8.5 for walk, trot, canter, suppleness, balance and self carriage, 9 for rideability and 8.5 for potential as a dressage horse.

Kingston sold to Blue Hors stud in December 2018. It was the last major horse Esben Möller scouted for Blue Hors before he left with slamming door in February 2019.

He was presented and accepted at the 2019 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning. He is also approved for Hanover and Oldenburg and did a 14-day suitability test in Adelheidsdorf, where he earned 8.11 points in dressage and 5.70 in show jumping to average 7.20 points.

Kingston was only lightly competed in Denmark. He made his show debut as a 4-year old in 2019 under Cristian Tudela Ruiz. In 2020 he competed on the young horse circuit with Nanna Skodborg Merrald as a 5-year old.  One and a half year later he returned to the arena, once, with Nanna.. Then another year show break followed. In August 2023 Sophia Ludvigsen rode the stallion at MB-level in two shows, winning both tests with 73% scores.

The stallion is yet to make his CDI debut.

Rosenkilde

Sofia Rosenkilde with Kingston
Kingston has now been sold to Danish pony team rider Sofia Rosenkilde.

"We are so happy to welcome another superstar to our team," the family posted. "We can’t wait to see what the future brings for Kingston and Sofia."

The Rosenkilde family runs IBF Beton, a construction company dealing in concrete, and the entire family is passionate about horses. Mom Maybritt and daughters Sophia, Theresa and Margaretha are all dressage riders.

The Ikast based family has been investing in horse stock this year (Poseidon Majlund and Cosmo Royale in 2023 and Tiger G in September 2022) and is no stronger to Blue Hors as they already bought Blue Hors Zwobber there in January 2022.
