King Olav became the best selling foal of the 2024 Swedish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction in Flyinge on 28 September 2024.
A collection of 21 foals was gathered and 19 of them were presented for sale at this auction held during the SWB Equestrian Days, the Swedish warmblood young horse championships.
King Olav (by So Perfect x Everdale) sold for 50,000 euro.
The second most expensive foal was Espérance VH (by Escanto PS x Springbank II). This filly sold to Denmark for 42,000 euro.
Judy Garland MVG (by Fifty Fifty x Janeiro Platinum) sold for 25,000 euro, while colt Pringles VH (by Proud James x Springbank II VH) found a new owner for 22,000 euro. Colt Knockout SSL (by Knockando VH x Suarez) sold for 20,000 euro to Denmark.
BE Opium (by Opoque x Dalwhinnie) went for 17,000 euro to a Swedish bidder. This colt is out of the same dam as WCYH finalist BE Allex (Jeanna Hogborg). An American bought BE Fröken Beatrix (by Be Sure x Heston for U) for 14,000 euro. Lagavulin VH (by Straight Horse Leonardo x For Emotion) sold for 14,000 euro.
Double D MVG (by Hesselhoj Double Up x Furstenball) fetched 13,000 euro and moves to Denmark, Bellissima II VH (by Be Sure x Oban VH), Limbus (by Le Formidable x Grand Galaxy Win) and Vesper i Bo (by Proud James x Valverde) sold for 11,000 euro to Blanca Bosson. Djamie (by Proud James x Janeiro Platinum) sold for 10,000 euro.
