French Grand Prix rider Charlotte Chalvignac-Vesin has sold two of her principle horses in the barn, Dempsey FBC and Friederich Schiller.
Dressprod first broke the news.
Dempsey FBC
Dempsey FBC is a 7-year old Hanoverian stallion by Don Juan de Hus out of Caribik (by Contendro.x Freiherr). He is bred by Hans Heinrich Brüning.
As a foal he was presented at the 2017 foal show in Hoya and sold to Jessica Michel-Botton. She and her husband Gilles presented him as a 2-year old at the 2019 Hanoverian stallion licensing in Verden. He was then bought by French rider Barbara Klinger and he was first competed in France by Theo Besnier. They were 4th at the 2021 French Young Horse Championships.
The gelding then sold to Chalvignac/Vesin who later sold a half share to Emmanuella Schramm. He represented France at the 2023 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo, where they were 7th in the 6-year old consolation finals with 79.800%. The pair became reserve champions at the 2024 French Championships for 7-year olds. They were first reserves for the 2024 WCYH.
Dempsey has been sold American horse dealer Mark Paul and his business partner Elizabeth Bertuzzo.
Friedrich Schiller
Friedrich Schiller is a 9-year old Hanoverian by Finest out of Dear Darling (by Desperados x ). He is bred by Henning Schulze.
The 6-year old black was the price highlight of the first Hanoverian auction of the year in 2021, selling for 81,500 euro to Charlotte Chalvignac. The horse qualified to represent France at the 2021 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, but was withdrawn last minute and replaced by reserve horse Parodie ter Dolen.
In 2022 they debuted internationally in the 7-year old classes at the CDI Le Mans and went to the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 9th in the consolation finals (73.966%). They finished the year by winning the 2022 French Championships for 7-year olds.
Internationally Friedrich had not returned to the arena but nationally he competed at medium tour level in 2023 and had his Grand Prix debut in the spring of 2024.
Friedrich Schiller, who also goes by Chalvignadc's stable name Friedrich Majishan, sold to a sponsor of French based Israeli dressage rider Constance Menard. The owner's company is called "Horse Field". With Gelderlander mare Lianca, Menard was member of the French team at the 2005 and 2007 Europeans and 2006 World Equestrian Games. She declared for Israel in 2009. Her last CDI was in 2014 on Oceane de Mesille.
