Fynona, one of The Netherlands' most decorated youth riders' team horse, has been sold.
Fynona is a 16-year old KWPN mare by Ampere out of Wynona RB (by Gribaldi x Jazz). She is bred and owned by Willeke Bos of Stal 104.
Elite Preferent
Fynona is an elite preferent KWPN mare and the full sister of the Olympic breeding stallion All at Once.
As a 3-year old she was the KWPN Regional Mare Champion in Noord-Holland and a finalist at the 2013 KWPN Mare Championship in Ermelo.
Fynona produced eight foals for breeder Bos, the last one being Tumbs Up Taonga (by Majestic Taongo) who is selected for for the 2026 KWPN Stallion Licensing. Masterpiece Taonga (2017, by Vitalis) was licensed but he never did the performance test.
Marten Luiten
The bay mare was ridden to glory by Dutch Marten Luiten who competed her from 2018 up to 2024. They debuted in 2018 at the CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland and were members of the Dutch team at the European youth championships five times in a row, starting in 2019 (junior), then in 2020 and 2021 as young riders and in 2023 and 2024 in the U25. She was FEI World Number One ranked in all youth categories.

At the 2024 European Under 25 Championships they won team bronze and finished fourth individually. It was the mare's last competition in her career, so far.
Sold
In the autumn of 2024 Fynona had achieved everything she could with Luiten and was put up for sale as a schoolmaster.
Luiten announced on his Instagram that has now found a new owner. To Eurodressage he confirmed she sold abroad.
Luiten is continuing his international show career at small tour level with Aat Both's Johnny (by Johnson x World Magic) and his own Larsson (by Everdale x Sir Sinclair). Luiten trains wtih Anky van Grunsven and Monique Peutz.
