Five years after having competed in his last international and said to have sustained a potentially career-ending injury, the former licensed stallion Grand Galaxy Win T has returned to the national competition arena in the U.S.A. with a new owner and rider.
Grand Galaxy Win is a 15-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Apache out of Winner T (by Jazz x Zeoliet). He is bred by A. Toonen Arts and was originally named "Galaxy Win T."
Licensed Stallion
The black was approved at the 2014 KWPN Stallion Licensing, where Glamourdale was named champion.
At that time he was owned by Nico Witte in partnership with Andreas Helgstrand and the duo presented the stallion a month later at the 2014 Danish warmblood Stallion Licensing, where Galaxy Win T was named champion.
The black stayed in Denmark and was renamed Grand Galaxy Win. He made a brief return to Holland for the 2014 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Testing, where he scored 84 points.
Sport Career
The long legged black stallion was trained and competed first by Spaniard Severo Jurado Lopez.

In 2016 the pair represented KWPN and The Netherlands at the World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where they were 7th in the 5-year old finals. He did not compete in the 2016 Pavo Cup, but was sixth at the 2016 Danish Young Horse Championships.
An almost two year break from competition followed and Jurado and Grand Galaxy returned to the arena in August 2018 to win the qualifier for the Danish Young Horse Championships. In October 2018 they placed fifth at these Championships. It was the horse's last show in Europe.
Charlotte Jorst
Grand Galaxy Win sold to Danish born American Charlotte Jorst in the autumn of 2018.

After that CDI In Wellington, the stallion disappeared from the show scene.
Jorst brought him back to Wellington in the winter of 2021-2022 as a gelding, but didn't show him. In the autumn of 2022 Charlotte confirmed to the Dutch press that Grand Galaxy Win had been off work for almost a year after sustaining potentially career-ending injuries.
Where is he Now?
Fast-forward three years later and the gelding re-surfaced with a new rider onboard: Lauren Mansky. Lauren is an assistant rider at Stacy Brass' stable and stallion station in Kentucky, where Jorst's retired Grand Prix horse Nintendo is standing at stud and being ridden. Mansky showed him in four Prix St Georges tests between June and July 2024 at shows in Kentucky.

Matthews brought Grand Galaxy to Wellington, Florida for the 2026 Global Dressage Festival and so far competed him in two Intermediaire I tests in February gaining mileage and experience. She is coached by Patricia Becker.
"I was lucky to buy Galaxy about a year ago and started riding him last spring," Ashley told Eurodressage. "It has been a real joy getting to ride him this past year and he has a fabulous life with us. He’s such a cool horse! We have some galaxy babies on the way out of a sister of Glamourdale - due in a month."
