Fursten-Look at the Nurnberger Burgpokal Final in Kronberg

Fürsten-Look, the highly decorated Oldenburg and medal winning breeding stallion, has sold to Cichon Dressage in Poland and will be available to breeders as of March 2025. He will make his first public appearance at the Cichon Dressage stallion show on 1 February.

Fürsten-Look is bred by Johannes Sabel and is by Fürstenball out of Lady Diamond (by Londonderry x Weltmeyer x Airport).

Oldenburg Licensing Champion

He was the champion of the 2014 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing  in Vechta and sold at auction for 350,000 euro to the stallion keepers' duo Lone Boegh Henriksen and Paul Schockemöhle.

Fürsten-Look did his 30-day stallion suitability test in Schlieckau in December 2014 and scored 9.41 for dressage and 7.75 for show jumping. He totalled 8.67 points.  A month later in January 2015, the Hanoverian society approved him for their studbook and in March he got accepted for Danish Warmblood.

At the end of that year he was the Main premium winner at the 2015 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing, a title achieved with his outstanding first crop of foals and own achievements in the performance test.

He is a WFFS carrier.

Bundeschampion and WCYH Bronze

Under Norwegian Isabel Freese Fürsten-Look has been successful in sport from the start. He won the 2015 Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in Verden and the 2015 Bundeschampionate as a 4-year old.

At the 2018 World Young Horse Championships
In 2016 he was shown sparingly, winning the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Redefin. He was also selected on the German team for the 2016 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, but pulled out. He was off in 2017.

His year of glory was in 2018 when he went to the 2018 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, where the 5-month pregnant Freese rode him to victory in the preliminary test with 86.60%. They got the bronze medal in the finals with 84.036%.

Another two-year break from showing followed but in 2020 Fürsten-Look returned winning a Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifier with 74.585%. At the finals he got another bronze medal.  This was the stallion's last show in his sport career

Retired to Stud, Success in Breeding

An injury has kept Fursten-Look from continuing his sport career, but in breeding he carried on and proved his worth as a producer. In 2024 he stood at stud for one season in the U.K.

Fürsten-Look has sired six licensed sons so far and has 30 state premium daughters in Germany.

His most famous offspring includes international Grand Prix horse Furst Kennedy (Jaoa Moreira), who was member of the Portuguese Olympic team in Paris and who placed fourth at the 2022 World Young Horse Championships. He also sired Parodie ter Dolen, who represented France at the 2021 World Young Horse Championships under Charlotte Chalvignac,  Emma Jonsson's Flow won silver at the 2020 Swedish Warmblood Young Horse Championships,  Csaba Szokola's First Look won silver at the 2019 Hungarian Young Horse Championships, and Laura Tomlinson's Forest Hill who was short-listed for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships.

At the 2017 Belgian Warmblood Mare Championship, two Fursten-Look fillies became reserve champion and Mike Hodel's Fellini M was the reserve champion at the 2017 Swiss Warmblood foal Championship. His offspring has been selling well at auctions, such as Furstenerbe selling for 126,000 euro, Friedemann selling for 62,000 euro, and a colt by Fursten-Look x Ray Ban fetched 16,500 euro.

New Chapter at Cichon Dressage

Polish Grand Prix rider and stallion owner Mateusz Cichon of Cichon Dressage in Radzionkow, Poland, has acquired Fürsten-Look for his breeding programme.

Fürsten-Look won the 2015 Bundeschampionate
"To meet the requirements of a rapidly developing breeding market in Poland, our goal was to find new superstars for our stallion station for the season 2025," Cichon explained. "Thanks to excellent cooperation with Schockemöhle we managed to acquire the internationally successful jumping stallion Varihoka du Temple, but we were still looking for a dressage stallion, which could continue the excellent work done for Polish dressage breeding by our Don Deluxe, who is highly successful as a sire here."

Mateusz' eye fell on Fürsten-Look.

"Like with many beautiful things in life, it was some kind of coincidence," Mateusz reminisced. "I was at Schockemöhle in Mühlen for a few days, and one day a beautiful, black stallion passed by through the stable, which turned out to be Fürsten-Look. We started a conversation with Isabel Freese about him, and we quickly realized he could be the perfect match for us."

Proven Sire

Cichon is delighted to have welcomed the well mannered Fursten-Look at his EU-stallion station.

Fürsten Spinne, Polish Young Horse Champion
"He is a stallion with outstanding apperance, top pedigree, strong sport career and above all, excellent offspring, which have already left their mark in Poland with the Polish Young Horses Champion Fürsten Spinne (under A. Szulc) but also with some high quality foals which took part in our auctions," said Mateusz. "Of course it may sound trivial, but after these few days with him I am very thrilled by his gentle character – rarely you meet a breeding stallion like this!"

The stallion has arrived in Poland and will make his first public appearance at the annual stallion show weekend in Radzionkow on 1 February 2025.

He will be available to breeders fresh for a stud fee of 850 euro (250 euro upon order, 600 euro in foal fee).
